![]() AND OUR FIRST ANNUAL ECO-DIVE EVENT! When: Saturday May 31st 9:30 am Where: Bonnie Boats in Jackson’s Point, Georgina What is going on?
![]() Eco-Dive Lake Simcoe The health of our water systems, both salty and fresh, have been in peril for some time. Finally, finally, we as a society are becoming increasingly conscious of the legacy we are leaving behind to our children and grandchildren; and we are taking action! Scuba divers are naturally careful about the footprint they leave behind, and take great pains to be extra gentle to our underwater haven, from taking care to control their buoyancy while diving beautiful reefs in order not to cause any damage, to, not only avoiding leaving any trace of human contact behind, but picking up the trash of others. After all, 70% of our planet is covered in water; we cannot forget to protect this vast and vulnerable playground! Why do divers do this? Because we care so much about the beauty of natural geological formations and incredible marine life struggling to survive every day beneath the waves. Because we want to be able to revel in that beauty for decades to come. And because we want the majesty of that world to be preserved so that our children and grandchildren can experience the same joy of breathing underwater while witnessing some pretty stunning and miraculous sights! Every small bit helps - Every little bit of trash removed lessens the burden on our marine eco-system. What do I need? 1. Bring a mesh bag to collect any trash you may find on your dive 2. Bring all of your scuba equipment with you for a "tune-up" gear-check 3. Rent what you need at Adventure Sports for 1/2 price for Kick-off! 4. Bring a very large smile! Come on out and join us! Bonnie Boats Ltd. 20 Bonnie Blvd, Jackson's Point, ON L0E 1R0 The town is going to issue us parking passes, yay!
