Take the Master Scuba Diver Challenge!Up to it? Master Scuba Diver is PADI’s highest non professional recreational diving certification. This is what the best of the best reach for, because the dive possibilities are endless. To become a Master Scuba Diver, you must log 50 dives and complete the following PADI courses: 1. PADI Open Water Diver 2. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver 3. PADI Rescue Diver 4. 5 PADI Specialty Diver Courses It seems like a lot, but many divers may already have some of these requirements filled! You may already be on your way. Prestige isn’t easy to earn, but it is certainly well worth it. As a Master Scuba Diver, you’ll have a whole new level of training and experience, whether you’re diving local wrecks, quarries and reefs, or exploring exciting dive environments around the world. I have set a personal goal to attain my Master Scuba Diver certification. I'm excited about this, but I'm not putting pressure on myself; I'm being VERY flexible about the time limit. I will keep my eye on one dive at a time - and have fun! I'm hoping this will be easier for me to achieve now that we have attained the PADI 5-Star IDC Centre status with Edward Chan on board as our PADI course director! PADI Join the best of the best in recreational scuba diving and live the dive life as a PADI Master Scuba Diver. The Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through both significant experience and scuba training. Fewer than two percent of divers ever achieve this rating. When you flash your Master Scuba Diver card, people know that you’ve spent time underwater in a variety of environments and had your share of dive adventures. Every diver, who is at least 12 years old, should aim for Master Scuba Diver. The path starts with earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification, followed by PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certifications). You also need to earn five PADI Specialty Diver certifications and have logged a minimum of 50 dives. This diver took the challenge: http://www.padi.com/blog/2014/01/21/master-scuba-diver/
