Party Like It's 2014 Another year has flown by; it's so hard to believe, isn't it? We at the store have been growing, learning, diving, and improving steadily over this year, and we are ready to celebrate Christmas, and the long road we have been travelling on (while recognizing that we still have a long way to go)! We had no idea when we started Adventure Sports, how rewarding, joyful, and social the business would be; we also had no idea how difficult and frustrating it could be! I guess if it wasn't sometimes painful and hard, we wouldn't really appreciate the successes and improvements! What a crazy trip! The nice thing is, that YOU are the best part! So let's get together again and have some good eats, and share some stories and laughter! Tickets Christmas party dinner tickets are on sale at the store now (Adventure Sports Newmarket - 205 Eagle St. Newmarket, ON L3Y 1J8). It will be at the same venue as last year (York Regional Police Association Building - 600 Stonehaven Ave, Newmarket). November 29, 2014 York Regional Police Association Building 600 Stonehaven Ave, Newmarket Cocktails start at 6:00 pm (cash bar) Full Turkey Dinner served at 7:00 pm Tickets: $25 each (club members: $20) Deadline to purchase tickets: November 22 (so the caterer orders enough turkey and fixins) Supporting Southlake Cancer Clinic (& Pediatric Cancer Centre): Any proceeds made from ticket sales this year will be directed towards the Southlake Cancer Centre for Pediatrics. There will be door prizes, and also some raffle draws to raise money for the Southlake Cancer Clinic; these folks do some wonderful work, and so many of our families have been touched by this horrible disease. If we can contribute in any small way to ease the hardship of a person and their family struggling with cancer, we are happy to be a part of it. We look forward to the day when cancer is no longer a threat, but I think there is a lot of work to do yet; I hope you will join us in our efforts! Festivities Instead of a DJ this year, we will spend the time focusing on good company and cheer, while sharing pictures of our diving adventures this summer. Thank-you It is not an exageration to say that Jody and I feel so profoundly blessed and touched to have the encouragement and support of all of you. There is no way Jody could have accomplished half of what he has in the last year and three quarters (but who's counting, lol) with not only your ideas and advice (not that he always followed it), but especially, ESPECIALLY your encouragement (so very needed some days); Thank-you so much for that; you truly cannot know how much it means. From our house to yours, we wish you all a very happy, safe, and laughter filled Christmas. Laugh, Love, Dive, and be Merry!
